Dr O'Neil, Albert and the Historymen went through as victors whilst Gerry's attempts to get his Brains knocked out failed yet again as they went through as highest scoring losers. Last night's results in full were:

Quiz Paper Verdict |
Competitors gave some pretty good commendations for this week's paper set by St Caths. The aggregate scores were once again fairly healthy (81, 75 and 74). A number of questions caught my eye as candidates for the week's gong. For instance: the title of the Spanish heir to the throne (Round 8 Question 3), the erstwhile identity of the Seawise University (Round 3 Question 3), the lesser-known tally of cornets in the 76 trombone parade (Round 1 Question 5), and (could this start a question-type trend?) the square you land on in Monopoly when your first throw is a 5. |
The Question of the Week |
My 'Question of the Week' award goes to Round 1 Question 7: A football pitch consists of how many straight lines? For all the week's questions and answers click here. |
