Val Draper Cup - Round 1 Mad Dogs, down to a couple of mutts with no sign of a cherry, had no problem in putting Albert to the sword. Opsimaths struggled at home to the Electric Pigs and finally succumbed by 2 points. X-Pats lost by a way to the (almost) all-conquering FCEK. Snoopy's Friends were well beaten by a "WWTBAM-enhanced" Albert Park. History Men cantered home against St Caths. |
Quiz Paper Verdict |
This week the paper came from Ethel Rodin. Not altogether universal praise. Boos for being asked to guess the ages of Henry V and Richard III at the time of their death with no leeway, but praise for the "So Long, Farewell, John Tolan" round ("very well thought out" to quote but one correspondent). Disputes about the site of the sinking of the Mary Rose, and thumbs down for the Berlioz wife question - but compliments for the kingly herb question. All in all, however, pretty low scoring. |
