After a two year break Stockport regain the WIST Cup

In a good natured pre-season encounter the Stockport League romped home by 8 points against WithQuiz to regain the WIST Cup they last held in 2009.
The Albert Club back room was packed with supporters from both sides of the Mersey as the heavyweights slugged it out. As per usual the perversity rule applied with WithQuiz prospering on the Stockport-style questions whilst the Stockport team did a whole lot better on the WithQuiz-style questions used in the second half.
With the Club's TV sitting on the wall and the QM's computer to hand it was easy to display all the picture questions on the TV. Both players and supporters were able to puzzle the pictures together and this seemed to add to the evening's entertainment. A sign of times to come maybe?
