New season

All 9 teams from last season have confirmed they are keen to compete in the 2022/23 season.

There had been the possibility of a new team but in the event sufficient numbers of quizzers couldn't be raised so the fresh faces will seek to join existing teams.  They will be very welcome additions, I'm sure.

Also good news this season is the resumption of the Stockport connection with a full programme of the traditional encounters with our mates from over the Mersey.  Just one caveat on this... the Stockport League has an AGM next Thursday so Mike Wagstaffe won't be able to confirm the Stockport team names or venues until after that meeting's taken place.  At present, however, he anticipates details being as I've shown them on the Fixtures page.

As usual this site shows all the coming fixtures (many thanks to Roddy for constructing the fixtures schedule).  Throughout the coming season I will endeavour to keep the website up-to-date with results, comments and question papers.  As ever your contributing comments late on Wednesday or early Thursday morning will be the necessary grist to my mill.  Be aware, however, that contributions after 10am on Thursdays run the risk of missing the 'Home page' deadline.
