Average Aggregate scored across the whole season for WithQuiz-style papers was: 67.1 points

On the whole a tough but fair mix.
Withquiz
Pretty good feedback so far. The Opsimaths' reaction to the Hadron Collider-linked questions better remain unreported. After that, however, all was great - especially the architectural picture teasers which had Richard Seed written all over them. As usual the Getaways provided a good intellectual mix with plenty of interesting discussion points lying just below the surface.
Withquiz
"Fantastic quiz never more than two points in it either way and the best paper of the season so far."
"Another excellent paper from the Piggies with a good, eclectic mix of questions and full of surprising facts."
Withquiz
"Quite a tough start to the paper but then the answers became more gettable."
"A good spread of subjects with science featuring more than in most weeks."
Withquiz
"The wait (for the paper to turn up) had been worth it though. The general consensus was a good, well-balanced paper from the X-Pats."
Withquiz
"Pretty good but maybe TMTCH over-elaborated a bit after last season's successes. Still, high scoring and most people went home happy"
"Anyway....the paper was clearly a labour of love with loads of embellishments both in, and around, the questions. My favourite round was the one themed on Derbyshire towns."
Withquiz
"Cracking quiz - much closer all the way through than the final result suggests. Very well balanced, plenty to get your teeth into."
"The quiz concluded at 11.15 - goodness knows when the SPW v Electric Pigs match ended (both teams being renowned for their cogitation time)."
Withquiz
Overall the verdict from around the venues seems to have been 'a bit of a struggle'.
"Fairly hard quiz - 14 unanswered questions."
Withquiz
"Bumper scorelines all round with the Opsimaths posting a record (for them, anyway) 50 points."
"A most enjoyable quiz" was the general verdict."
Withquiz
Another of their high class efforts full of innovation, Irish quirkiness, challenging questions, interesting and lengthy bouts of extraneous information, some dead easy pictures and......well, actually 'Bob Bloody Dylan'
"We all thought there were too many music questions and too much Bob Dylan!"
Withquiz
"Pretty tough going. It was after 11 o'clock before we were able to declare a result. 17 of the 64 questions went unanswered by either side."
Withquiz
"And we thought last week’s quiz was hard....…"
"We didn't find the paper quite as obscure as some of Snoopy's previous efforts. The Christmas themes were fairly straightforward and the quotations were (nearly) always guessable."
Withquiz
"A challenging but highly enjoyable paper."
"Pretty good effort from the Albert - a few bum moments but overall plenty to make you think and at least give you a chance of getting something close to the correct answer. Bravo!!"
Withquiz
There was no dross last night. The paper was exceptional from beginning to end. How could they get a whole round out of US State capitals used as first names? Surely not! Yet they pulled it off with no hint of asking a substandard question to fit the theme.
"The quiz paper was very well received though by our reckoning (fourteen unanswered) moderately difficult."
Withquiz
"Pretty good all round - plenty of twos and not much messing around. Particularly liked the clever final pair - Tungsten / Osmium - the elements of light bulbs - very nicely matched."
"There was an excellent variety of questions and only one unanswered question the whole evening."
Withquiz
Pretty tough stuff with plenty of unanswered questions (14 at the Albert Club, and 16 at the Sun in September).
"Pretty hard paper and very few twos."
Withquiz
"Tough but with plenty of 'tip of the tongue' material."
"This paper was right up our street with plenty of history and German philosophers. Luvly jubbly! The themes were generally well-worked out - though the musical instrument theme round was somewhat tarnished by the one about the Rocky Mountain Elk foundation journal!"
Withquiz
This was a grand and meticulous effort from the team that are quickly becoming the most eagerly anticipated setters.
"Excellent return to form from The Men. Loads of points to be scored and loads of gettable themes that made the whole evening thoroughly enjoyable."
Withquiz
"A b.... awful paper."
At the Griffin it was pretty well received by both SPW and the Charabancs - though (acting as QM) I decided to read a spare rather than use the trick question referring to the Mount Rushmore sculptures as a 'Rock group'.

No comments recorded (QuizBiz for this week lost)
Withquiz
The comments were pretty positive - apart from some grumbles about the mysterious relocation of Keswick's Pencil Museum to Kendal.
"Plenty to interest (how dull would a day in Southport have to be to make you go to a lawnmower museum?), to cause panic attacks (memories of 4th year maths)."
Withquiz
"Too much popular culture for Ethel's liking."
"The paper was well received with only two unanswered questions."
"It was a cracking paper enjoyed by all of us The Blockbuster Bingo worked excellently."
Withquiz
"Pretty good, high scoring and interesting enough. Tony and co. seemed to have a few problems with knowing which century they should be in though!
Snoopy's questions were a tad on the elusive and long-winded side.
Withquiz
Fine for most of the rounds but a big thumbs down (from me at least) for the picture round.
"We found the paper OKish but with a tad too many 'either you know it or you don't know it' type questions. 16 went unanswered by either side."
Withquiz
"By and large the subject matter did not suit our tastes but we couldn't complain about the fairness of the distribution of themes and angles."
Withquiz
"The usual TMTCH cornucopia of delights put together with loving care by our punk friends. The average aggregate scores were medium to low but there was plenty of ancillary information to add value to most of the questions. If I was forced to be picky then I thought the culinary theme round (Round 7) was a little undercooked (ho! ho!). By question 8 it was looking like a thin gruel.
"Pretty good all round - highlight was working out as a team the 4 x 110 yards relay answer."
Withquiz
"Good quiz with inventive themes. Good to learn more about an often neglected part of the UK."
Withquiz
I'm afraid the paper has been universally panned. It proved far too hard
"This was quizzing's equivalent of a tense semi-final on a dead pitch with divots coming up everywhere."
"I know how tricky it is to set a good paper, but tonight's was a shocker. Many questions were obscure."
