The Girls

open up a 4 point lead at the top of the table whilst nearest rivals
the History Men set - 3rd and 4th placed teams (Charabancs
and Opsimaths) slug it out at the Albert Club - More details of

In the
inaugural round of the WIST Champions Cup the Girls and the
Charabancs carry the WithQuiz banner forward whilst the History Men and the
Opsimaths get eliminated - QotW about a gloriously misty picture

The Girls
are defeated (at last) by Ethel, with neither team scoring as
highly as the bottom 2 teams (Snoopy's and TMTCH) who battled
out a 40-40 tie at the Parrs Wood - History Man Peter's caught

The Girls
win a thriller at the Griffin against the Charabancs and thus
secure their tenth League title in a row -
Meanwhile the race is
on for second place with the Charabancs, the History Men, the

Everything
went according to the form book with WithQuiz's Girls and
Stockport's Chunky winning through to the final on April 30th -

getting the slightly bigger meals - delightfully this means that

maintain their fantastic Cup form of recent years by winning the
Val Draper trophy (they were Runners Up last year and Winners

of Season: Presentation to Gerry Hennessy by Dave Rainford to
celebrate his 60th as well as his contribution to quizzing in South
Manchester over many decades - Getaways and Napier Girls share the
honours for the evening's quiz - Ethel's Pendle Hill question wins
the 'Question of the Season' award
