win their first ever WithQuiz league title! -
unlucky Shrimps end up Runners up a second year running and by just
one point again - Albert and The Opsimaths mop up 3rd and 4th places
in the table to get into the WIST Champions cup - QotW gets most of
us on the wrong track |

Ethel Rodin in two very close final finishes - QotW

Ties') about celebrities who went to the same school submitted by
the Bards |

season preparations - Same 10 teams sign up, no leavers or joiners -
Turnpike closed - Shrimps move to The Woodstock and the Charas move
to The Victoria
WithQuiz
beat Stockport to regain the WIST Challenge trophy (which Stockport
seem to have lost in both senses) - Round 6 celebrates the Trump/Kim
love affair
League
season underway - Dave Rainford back playing for the Prodigals -
victories for the usual suspects - Round 3 celebrates Premiership
managers born in the 1940s
Points
(and old age) friendly paper from Albert gets an average aggregate
of 86.5 - Dunkers win comfortably against the Shrimps following
their nail-biting tied match at the end of last season - Round 2
reminds us all of possibly the worst soap opera of all time

beaten at home by the Prods whilst the Opsis remain undefeated -
Charas start their tenure at the Victoria - Danny opts for the NZ
basketball team as his QotW - Lady Amelia Windsor is revealed as the
fairest Royal of all
Applecarts get
scattered all over South Manchester as the Opsimaths,
Dunkers and Ethel lose - the
History Men remain unbeaten and the Prods go top -
Charas find The Victoria too noisy and retreat to
The Albert - QotW celebrates a University Challenge

Major surprises
tonight - as last season's top two teams, the
Shrimps and the Dunkers, both lose by 5 points -
Joseph Heller and Two Fat Ladies come face to face in the QotW - the
Pigs beat the Dunkers for 'the first time in a decade'
Prodigals stay
on top after beating the Shrimps - the History
Men's 100% record falls - QotW prompts thoughts of
polygamy - and another question reminds us of
lengthy Dutchmen and short Brazilians
A good night
for the WithQuiz teams with 3 through in the Lowly
Grail and all 4 teams through in the Champions Cup -
questions about the Pankhurst statue and Jeremy Deller's Peterloo
memorial which will be unveiled next year on Peterloo's 200th
anniversary
The Shrimps and
the Dunkers come storming back after difficult
starts to the season - but the Prods stay on top -
speculation as to whether Elia Kazan made On the Waterfront 2
in 1995 - plenty of info. about geeps and shoats
The Dunkers
and the Shrimps back in
the groove - the History Men win a thriller at the
Moss - QotW marries a poet and a Last of the Summer
Wine star as 'Sisters in Rhyme' - Michael reaches 30 
Wins for the
Dunkers, Ethel, Albert and The Bards to give an
'anyone could win it' look to the table - QotW is a
snigger from Argentinian football - Kieran gets all wistful for the
lost Withington of his youth - we discover the Dunker dog
Anyone's title? After
everyone's played 8 matches the Prods are still top
on 12pts, but 3 teams are on 10pts and 3 more on
8pts - QotW all about theoretical physicists -
plenty of points on a Bards paper full of variety
First half of
the season complete with Prodigals on top but 5
other teams within 4 points, all to play for! - QotW
concerns a mountain pass in Scotland's Arrochar Alps
- Some reflections on the role played by
WithQuizzers in the 'Emmeline Pankhurst statue'

Into the New
Year with 2 tied matches and a one point victory -
Top marks to the Pigs for setting a high-scoring,
perfectly balanced paper - The 'rat of reproach' and
Ann's birthday amongst the highlights of the evening's quizzing (not
to mention City beating Burton 9-0)
Those Shrimps
are creeping up on everybody but the Prodigals still
reign supreme - The Opsimaths have their first taste
of the Charas new home venue, The Albert in
Withington village - QotW is a nostalgic peek into
1970s sitcoms courtesy of Terry and Bob and their
mate Flint
The Prods power
on, but watch out for those high-scoring Shrimps -
the Albert Club ('Orkney Dark') derby ends in a
victory for the Prodigals - QotW homes in on London
gangsters and sociopathic
criminals, Doug and Dinsdale Piranha
While the top
two are away the chasers have their day - QotW
celebrates all female quizzers - a cracking paper
from the Shrimps including a whole round on the 70s
and 80s!
Prodigals
cement their position at the top - Dunkers do some
serious catching up against close rivals - a paper
scoring above average for the season - QotW
concerning the utterances of a big Scout
The Prodigals
stumble as the pack closes with wins for the
Opsimaths, the Shrimps and Albert - QotW all about
France's 69, Switzerland's 26 and poor old India and South Africa
who have just 10 each - Ivor multi-blurts in somewhat spectacular
fashion at the Red
Topsy turvy
rules OK as the Prods and Dunkers lose at home and the
Shrimps, the Opsis and Albert all win away; this
one's going right to the wire! - some debate as to
what makes a good, fair question on an evening with
a fairly tough paper
Wandering
Star keep Stockport in the Lowly Grail to meet the
Prodigals in the April final; in the all-WithQuiz
WIST Champions Cup semis the Shrimps and the Dunkers
win through to the final stage - QotW about the
group that was almost The Anderson Council
A
welcome victory for the Pigs whilst the Dunkers, the Opsis and the
Shrimps keep their title hopes alive - QotW chosen by Rachael in
honour of her late Dad - United Euro-fever disrupts most of the
matches whilst chewing gum loses its flavour on the bedpost
overnight

DD and Shrimps beat the Opsis leaving next week's
Shrimps v Prods clash at the Parrswood as the league
season's likely title decider - QotW concerns

CMS to put the title race back in their control - the
Cup ties are drawn and for the first time the draw
is filmed and the film uploaded to the Home page - QotW all about
the USA's first ever consulate - Graham Wiggins get well and truly 'tizered'
Upset at the
Parrswood as the Pigs beat the Shrimps; elsewhere the
Bards, Prodigals and History Men go through to join
them in the Val Draper semis - QotW concerns the ups
and downs of the football season at Glenavon FC
Pigs
fly through to face the History Men in the Val
Draper final - Ethel and the Opsis go through to the
Plate final - Handicap system works a treat with 3
very close finishes - Miss Fowler-Tutt earns our
QotW gong for her views on The Kiss -
Didsbury Library and Chorlton eateries get plugs
WithQuiz picks
up both trophies with the Prodigals winning the
Lowly Grail in Stockport by beating the Wandering
Star, and the Shrimps lifting the WIST Champions Cup at the Parrswood
defeating the Dunkin' Dönitz - QotW all about a French lady
Season ends with a friendly table quiz (won by the Prodigals) and
trophy presentations by former Prodigals skipper, Clive Berry -
History Men beat the Charabancs to win the 'Question of the Season
award'
